puddle splashers: Southern California locals/avid travelers ›
My gurl Christina and I are planning a week-long (ish) trip for this coming July. We would start in LA and make our way north to Santa Barbara to finish our trip with Sound and Fury.
We are trying to do this trip as inexpensively as possible. I have an acquaintance or two who would possibly…
I have been saying that I am going to plan a California summer trip for about 4 years now. Since I’ll be 20 in March, it’s actually possible now. I will do anything I can/have to to make this trip work. If anyone can offer me or Rebecca any sort of help/advice, please feel free.

Busses are pretty easy to use & they go everywhere. Other than a car, I don’t see how you’d get around without the bus..

Getting someone to rent a car for you would be best, but the person would have to be 25. I’m 22 and tried to rent but the prices are more expensive. Amtrak is reliable and the prices are cheaper the earlier you buy and if you sign up for the rewards.

There’s an Amtrak line that basically runs from San Diego to San Francisco, and stops in major towns along the way and has really nice views, but that’s pretty pricey.
